I live by that mantra…hope for the best, prepare for the worst.  I always make sure I have a back up plan in case of a crisis, ESPECIALLY at work.  Dealing with students with severe disabilities changes the way your mind thinks…it’s always, if this happens, here’s the plan…and thankfully we haven’t had too many times where worse case scenario has happened!  At least we’re equipped if it does.  What do you think of the quote?

I hope you have a person like this…for me, it would be my husband and my best friend.  It is just an amazing feeling to know that I have their back and they have mine.

I **LOVE** Little Free Libraries and adore that it made an appearance in this book!!  It doesn’t bother me what kind of shape a book is in as long as I can read it!  I can totally relate to Elsie in this quote…I love finding the odd freebie from these libraries as opposed to buying brand new!  I always feel like someone put a book in these that they loved and want to share with others…Elsie, I get you girl!!  Do you have any Little Free Libraries around you??

I chose this quote for 2 reasons…one, it shows how jaded some people can get.  They don’t see the good in in others, they just believe everyone is out there to stab people in the back.  The other reason is sometimes it is good to be cautious when working and dealing with other people…especially if you don’t know the person that well.  There are many people out there who DO take advantage of others…

Today I am going to feature a quote from this book…

TheEscapeRoom

She studiously kept a faint upward tilt to her lips. It was a practice drummed into her over many years working in a male-dominated profession. Me could snarl or look angry with impunity; women had to smile serenely regardless of the provocation.

Preach on Megan, preach on!  This is SO true.

Does this quote make you more interested in this book?  Please come back on Tuesday, July 30th for my stop on The Escape Room blog tour AND the same day it’s released!  I look forward to seeing you then!

Today I have chosen a line from NOS4A2.  This is actually the book we are reading this month in Katt’s Book Corner Facebook group. You can click on the link and join if you’re interested!  Each month we vote on a genre and then the book.  I have left links to both her blog and the Facebook group!  So far, they have been AH-MAY-ZING books!  Enough chit chat, my quote…

I don’t know. I kind of think…I kind of think it is our world. A version of it anyway. The version of it that Charlie Manx carries around in his head. Everyone lives in two worlds, right? There’s the physical world…but there’s also our own private inner worlds, the world of our thoughts. A world made of ideas instead of stuff. It’s just as real as our world, but it’s inside. It’s an inscape. Everyone has an inscape, and they all connect, too, in the same way New Hampshire connects to Vermont. And maybe some people can ride into that thought world if they have the right vehicle. A key. A car. A bike. Whatever.

You know…it’s true.  We have the physical world and the world as each perceive it.  Heavy stuff.

Have you read this one?  I have been devouring it!  I can’t wait to finish this and then start on the series…I AM HOOKED!

Today is a line that pulled me in from a book I read recently…

“And as we all know,” Lillo said, “walls don’t keep anything out for long. But they do keep your weakest parts in.”

Woah.  #truth
